Drawing of Fly Fishing for Cut Throat Trout Location: Old Orchard Park, Port Moody, British Columbia One early Saturday morning in the spring I rode into Old Orchard Park to see a lone fly fisherman casting in the shallow waters next to a gravel bar that is visible at low tide. Watching his long line being cast over the water, glistening in the sunlight against the back drop of the mountains on the north shore of Burrard Inlet was mesmerizing. This scene really captures the spontaneity that is so much a part of living in Vancouver, where you can go fly fishing in a sheltered bay in the morning and be back in the center of the city in less than an hour.
