Keslo Marine Yard at the Seal Cove Marina
Location: Prince Rupert, British Columbia
The first “boat shop” in Seal Cove was started by Hugo Johnson in 1910. Other shipyards followed including T.M Orwig in 1918 and McLeans in 1927. The turquoise floating boat house that you see in the background of this scene is part of the Keslo Marine Yard operated by Danny Keslo. I was struck by the way the morning sun lit up the aluminum cladding on the boat house.
