Bamfield is located on Barclay Sound in the heart of the Pacific Rim National Park on the west coast of Vancouver Island. A small group of the 155 permanent residents of Bamfield live in the colourful cottages on the west side of Bamfield Inlet. The cottages are connected by a boardwalk that winds along the shoreline above the high tide mark.
